Upgrade to ChessBase Light 2009 Premium

For the activation of ChessBase Light an internet connection is required. After receiving your activation key (by email) start your ChessBase Light. In the menu select: Help - Program activation - Activate.

Please type in your activation key which you have received by email.

You must also enter the security code shown in the red box (In this case HIFV). Press ok. The program will now connect to the ChessBase Server and upgrade your program.

Your program has now been upgraded to ChessBase Light 2009 Premium with full functionality.

Note that you can always deactivate your ChessBase Light and activate it on another computer. The ChessBase authentication server will keep track of deactivated and reactivated installations, making it easy for you to switch computers, for instance when you upgrade to new hardware.

Upgrade to ChessBase Light 2009 Premium with a computer not connected to the internet.

You can also upgrade to ChessBase Light 2009 Premium on a computer without an Internet connection. In order to do this you have to first get a hardware key from the computer.

Start your ChessBase Light. In the menu select:  Help – Program activation – Activate offline

ChessBase Light will display a hardware key for this machine.

Write this down and the hardware ID and use a computer with an Internet connection to log into the web site:

https://www.fritzserver.eu/activation/

Enter the hardware ID displayed on the first computer. The page will return an activiation key for that computer, which has no Internet connection. Enter this activation key in the first computer (and the code shown in the red box – in this case JYZM). Press OK.

Your program has now been upgraded to ChessBase Light 2009 Premium with full functionality. You can always deactivate your ChessBase Light and activate it on another computer.
