Second, with the same number of points (6.5/9) was Alexander Moiseenko of Ukraine. Aeroflot Open 2009

The Aeroflot Open took place from February 17th to 25th February, 2009, in Moscow. Top French GM Etienne Bacrot won his last two games to clinch victory. He beat Arman Pashikian in the final round to finish 6.5/9, the same as Alexander Moiseenko. Since Bacrot had played more games with the black pieces he was the tiebreak winner.
